'The Blacklist' reveals Red's daughter — yes, another one | kd8mq.info
The Blacklist is an American crime drama television series that premiered on NBC on September 23, Raymond "Red" Reddington (James Spader), a former government agent .. Initially he distrusts Liz Keen and her connection to Reddington, but eventually comes to respect and work well with her. After he was shot by. To me, she's a really interesting window into not only the last couple episodes Liz and Reddington partnered up in an effort to find and to hunt. His demise would also open a bigger plot for Reddington and Liz's relationship as it had been previously revealed that they are father and.
We move forward with Red at a very different place because of the war with Kaplan in season 4, wrapping up with Red completely broke and all of his connections in the criminal underworld have been diminished.
We take that natural relationship that we already have with our dedicated audience members, the ones who watch it religiously, who will be interested to go along with these characters on the next chapter of their journey. How do you think this will change Liz going into next season? When it comes to playing Liz, I really roll with the punches, so I try not to anticipate very much because I really know a week ahead of schedule what is going to be happening in her life and in her story.
I can tell you where Liz is coming from: Having learned that Red is her father, she has a new sense of her own genetic makeup and the potential for a certain kind of behavior, a criminality, so I think that awareness will give her freedom to behave in different ways. Can we really trust these DNA results? It all finally clicks into place for her.
What do you say to that? I think I caught wind of a little bit of that fan fiction world, yeah. It would be offensive to adopted kids to suggest that a paternity test is more important than the adoptive father who raised you, and who you have a bond with. So all along, I have seen the father-daughter issue as somewhat of a moot point and sort of like a fun thing to theorize about while you watch characters that you actually enjoy watching doing fun and exciting things in a very strange world full of these nefarious criminals.
The Blacklist finally confirms Red's relationship to Liz | kd8mq.info
We saw Dom Brian Dennehy return in the finale. Ever since then, it got complicated because Kaplan did put her new closest, most familial relationships at risk when she put the task force under investigation. She is orphaned in a way by that death. There are these bones now en route to Liz. Read our postmortem with Megan Boone here.
Has this been the plan from the beginning? Yes, it has been. How hard was it keeping this reveal a secret all these years? Why confirm what everyone has basically said since season 1? Because it is part of the truth, but not the entire [thing].
The Blacklist: Red's connection to Liz finally revealed?
There is a larger reason for him entering her life, a bigger secret that is also revealed in this episode, so while it is part of the story, it is not the entire story. Talk about that bigger secret. That bigger secret involves, in part, some bones that were dug up by Mr. Kaplan, and that Elizabeth Keen is unaware of, and that Red is desperate to keep Liz from finding.
That bag of bones represents a much larger story that is the ultimate hook of the show. All I can really say is, it is a piece of a much larger puzzle.
Tom has the suitcase. That suitcase is packed full of nothing but problems for Reddington. That seems like a logical explanation. That could also be a good theory. I love the way you look at this.
Look, they could be anyone, right?
These bones are a key to unlocking everything, and Red is not ready for that yet. Can these DNA results actually be trusted given where they came from?
So yes, I think we should trust that. How does knowing that these bones are out there affect Red? Kaplan was his most trusted confidante, knew deep truths. Even now, her death presents a catastrophic problem. How will this change Liz going into next season now knowing who Red is to her?
So I would expect her to explore that darker side that is in her blood. How will the team react to this news? Remember, Julian Gale is still out there with his investigation of the task force. Is this still a possibility considering the twist that you have in store for us?

That makes me smile. There is a big camp that [believes the] Raymond Reddington imposter theory, that Red is not who he says he is. This season, we have really motored ahead. Some episodes were heavy in that mythology than others. Kaplan episode was certainly an episode that had a lot of big moves in it.
This last episode has some big moves. Will Dom play a bigger role next season?
